Kenai girls, SoHi boys win Soldotna swimming meet

The Kenai Central girls and Soldotna boys won the team titles on Friday at a quad swimming meet at Soldotna High School.

The Kardinals notched 166 points for the win, while SoHi was second at 96, Seward was third at 33 and Skyview was fourth at 16.

On the boys side, the Stars ruled the day with 184 points, while Kenai was second with 74. Skyview grabbed third with 24 points, while Seward was fourth with 14 points.

Austin Daly and Olivia Pfeifer led the Kardinals to the team crown by each taking two individual events. Daly won the 200-yard freestyle and diving, while Pfeifer took the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly.

Seward's Eileen Audette won the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.

Christian Carrico took two individual events to lead the SoHi boys. Carrico won the 200 IM and 100 butterfly. Seward's Joshua Eavis won the 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle.
