Homer hockey suffers consecutive losses at home

The host Homer hockey team suffered a 2-1 loss to Wasilla on Friday, then fell 6-1 to Palmer on Saturday. Both were Northstar Conference games.

 

On Friday, the Warriors got a late goal to earn the win.

The game was tied at 1 when Wasilla’s Chancey Hanson scored with 5:06 remaining in the game. It was an evenly played game as Wasilla and Homer managed 25 and 29 shots, respectively.

Tommy Bowe tallied the lone goal for Mariners on an assist from Mark Reutov.

On Saturday, the Moose had 45 shots to the Mariners’ 20, and Blake Brazil notched a hat trick. It was the second hat trick in as many nights for Brazil.

Homer’s lone goal came from Reutov.
