Hakkinen races in Hochfilzen

Kasilof biathlon Jay Hakkinen raced in a pair of World Cup biathlon races Friday and Saturday in Hochfilzen, Austria.
On Friday, Hakkinen finished 45th in a 10-kilometer sprint. He had two misses on the range and his time of 26 minutes, 27.7 seconds, was 1:45.8 behind winner Carl Johan Bergman of Sweden.
In Saturday’s 12.5-kilometer pursuit, Hakkinen held his starting position of 45th. He had four misses on the range. He finished at 36:37.7, 3:28.7 behind winner Emil Hegle Svendsen of Norway.
