Ninilchik girls, boys cagers sweep Kenai JV

The Ninilchik girls and boys basketball teams swept the Kenai junior varsity in nonconference action on Tuesday in Ninilchik. The Ninilchik girls won 35-17, while the Ninilchik boys topped the Kenai JV 50-48.
In the boys game, Jack Wheeler scored 24 points as the Wolverines outscored the Kardinals 20-13 in the fourth quarter for the victory. Billy Riley added 12 points for Ninilchik.
For Kenai’s JV, Josh McKee had 20 points while Garrett Berg added 11.
Esther Ehlers had 16 points to lead the Wolverines in the girls game, while Jessica Rogers pitched in 11.
