Carter, Tennis win titles at West Anchorage Christmas Classic

The Kenai wrestling team placed sixth and Soldotna took 10th at the West Anchorage Christmas Classic on Saturday.

Service won the team trophy, while Kodiak earned second.

Devon Carter of Kenai Central won the individual championship in the 138-pound weight class. SoHi’s Auston Tennis took gold at 145.

They were lone champs from the central Kenai Peninsula.

Kenai Central’s Hope Steffensen placed fifth at 113. Ellery Steffensen, who is undefeated this season at 138, didn’t wrestle.
