Nikiski boys finish 0-3 at Sitka tourney

The Nikiski boys basketball team finished 0-3 at the Holland America Tournament in Sitka on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
After opening with a loss to Grace Christian on Thursday, the Bulldogs lost to Sitka on Friday. Nikiski closed the tournament with a 69-43 loss to Houston. Colton Anderson had 16 points in that game, while Lucas Herrin had 14 and Lincoln Johnson added five.
“Sitka puts on a great tournament,” Nikiski coach Reid Kornstad said. “They took us on a boat ride around Sitka Sound. The hospitality was incredible.”
Kornstad said the team learned about its weaknesses and is anxious to attack those weaknesses in practice.
