Hakkinen places 28th in World Cup sprint

Kasilof biathlete Jay Hakkinen placed 28th on Saturday in a World Cup 10-kilometer sprint in Oberhof, Germany.

Hakkinen had struggled with his shooting in the Oberhof relay, but he was back on his game Saturday, with just one miss on the range. He finished in 27 minutes, 25.9 seconds, 1:28.4 behind winner Arnd Peiffer of Germany.
