SoHi JV cagers topple Ninilchik

The visiting Soldotna junior varsity basketball team pulled away from both the Ninilchik girls and boys basketball teams on Tuesday for nonconference victories.

 

In the girls game, the Stars collected a 42-29 victory. The game was tied at 25 entering the fourth quarter, but the Stars outscored the Wolverines 17-4 in the final frame.

Esther Ehlers had 12 points to lead Ninilchik, while Jessica Rogers added nine.

In the boys game, the Soldotna JV led 26-23 after three quarters, but outscored the Wolverines 18-9 in the final period for the victory.

Austin Kruise scored 10 points for the Soldotna JV, while Jack Wheeler paced the Wolverines with 20 points.
