Hakkinen takes 31st in World Cup sprint

Kasilof biathlete Jay Hakkinen took 31st in a 10-kilometer World Cup sprint Saturday in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.

Hakkinen had two misses on the range and finished in 29 minutes, 3.9 seconds. He was 1:50.8 behind winner Emil Hegle Svendsen of Norway.
