Homer hockey takes 2 on road trip

The Homer hockey team is on a three-game winning streak after defeating North Pole 3-2 on Thursday and Hutchison 4-0 on Friday. Homer also was supposed to play Delta on the road trip, but the game was canceled due to cold.

Against North Pole, Tommy Bowe scored two goals and Mark Reutov added a score. Kiril Sanarov assisted on all three goals. Alex Sanarov picked up the win in net for Homer, which outshot North Pole 31-10.

Against Hutchison, Homer had a one-goal lead with three minutes to play but dominated the final portion of the game. Bowe had a pair of goals on assists from Mark Reutov. Konstantin Reutov also scored on assists from Kai Simmons and Hannah Baird. Finally, Dennis Sanarov scored unassisted. Alex Sanarov stopped 20 shots for the shutout. Homer put 28 shots on net.
