Nikiski, Skyview cagers split

Bulldogs girls cruise, Panthers boys pull out win

The Nikiski and Skyview basketball teams split a pair of nonconference games on Tuesday at Skyview.

The Nikiski girls recovered from a slow start to top the Panthers 43-22. Skyview led 7-3 after the first quarter. The Bulldogs led 16-14 at halftime and 32-17 after three quarters.

Sienna Wallis had 15 points for the Bulldogs, while Savannah Griffel had 10 points. Sam Reynolds led the Panthers with nine points.

The Skyview boys defeated Nikiski 47-45. Albert White had 17 points for the Panthers, with DJ Diaz adding 12. Colton Anderson had 20 for Nikiski, with Lucas Herrin adding 17.
