Soldotna boys 59, East 53
The Stars notched a nonconference victory over the Thunderbirds on Friday at Soldotna.
Evan Withrow paced the Stars with 26 points, and had a big fourth quarter to key the victory. He scored 15 points in the fourth quarter.
Cory Carver added 14 points for the Stars, who also got six points apiece from Tanner Fowler and Garrett Bosick.
Ketchikan boys 65, Kenai 45
The Kings nailed 10 3-pointers to drop the Kardinals on Friday in the semifinals of the losers bracket at the Alaska Prep Shootout at Dimond High School in Anchorage.
Kenai led 29-26 at halftime, but Ketchikan had a 25-9 advantage in the third quarter. Kyle Day had 27 points for the Kings, while AJ Hull had 18 points for the Kardinals.
Cook Inlet girls 60, Eagle River 29
The Eagles used a 23-1 run in the second quarter to swamp the Wolves on Friday in nonconference action in Soldotna.
CIA held a 15-13 lead after the first quarter. Kelsie Leaf had 22 points for the Eagles, including 18 in the first half. Megan Bauder added 15.
Lauren Frost paced the Wolves with 10 points.
