Hakkinen takes 22nd in World Cup sprint

Kasilof biathlete Jay Hakkinen took 22nd in a 10-kilometer World Cup sprint on Friday in Antholz, Italy.

Hakkinen was perfect on the range and finished at 26 minutes, 3.7 seconds, 1:25.8 behind winner Fredrik Lindstrom of Sweden. Hakkinen was just five seconds from qualifying for Saturday’s mass start.
