Saturday hockey: Kenai, SoHi lose close ones

Host Colony scored with 32 seconds left to defeat Kenai 3-2 on Saturday in North Star Conference action.

Kenai took a 1-0 lead in the second period when Zack Zulkanycz scored on assists from Russell Dukowitz and Zack Mese.

Colony came back to take a 2-1 lead on goals at 6:50 and 4:04 of the third period. Kenai tied the game with 3:40 left on another Zulkanycz goal, this time assisted by Dukowitz and Matt Morse.

Kenai coach Pete Iverson said Keegan Remsen had another great game in net, making 36 saves. The coach also credited Austin Hibbert with a solid game.

Soldotna lost to Wasilla 4-3 on overtime on Saturday.
