Brown Bears game postponed

The Kenai River Brown Bears’ road game against the Fresno (Calif.) Monsters was postponed from Sunday to Tuesday. The Bears now play North American Hockey League contests in Fresno Monday and Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. AST.

The game was postponed after the Monsters had trouble getting back to Fresno after a Saturday night game in Wenatchee, Wash.

Nate Kiel, the Brown Bears general manager, said the postponement actually probably helps the Bears. Kenai River played Friday night at home, then got on a bus immediately after the game to begin travel to Fresno. With Sunday’s postponement, the Brown Bears were able to get in a practice and get some rest in Fresno on Sunday.
