Kasilof biathlete Jay Hakkinen took 24th in a 10-kilometer World Cup sprint Thursday in Oslo, Norway.
Hakkinen, with just one miss on the range, finished at 26 minutes, 38.0 seconds. He was just 1:15.8 behind winner Evgenly Garanichev of Russia.
The U.S. team had a great day, with Lowell Bailey placing eighth and Tim Burke placing 15th.
