Soldotna High School skier Bree Mucha finished 14th in the Junior 2 and older women’s race on Saturday in Besh Cup racing in Fairbanks.
Mucha finished at 19 minutes, 40.70 seconds, in the five-kilometer classic event. Also from the Kenai Peninsula, Sadie Fox of SoHi was 41st.
In the Junior 1 and older men’s race, SoHi’s Lucas Michael paced the Peninsula by finishing 20th. Michael finished the 10-kilometer classic race in 35:18.00.
Finally, local skier Addison Gibson took fifth in the three-kilometer Junior 4 boys race.
