Thursday hoops: CIA girls undefeated in Peninsula play

The Cook Inlet Academy girls basketball team finished an undefeated run through the Peninsula Conference by defeating host Lumen Christi 50-21 on Thursday in Anchorage.
The Eagles hit 10 3-pointers, with Nicole Moffis leading the way with five treys en route to 15 points. Keely Powers also hit a pair of three balls. Megan Bauder added nine points for CIA, which is 15-2 overall.

The host Archangels avenged a defeat earlier in the season.
David Reischach had 16 points to lead the Eagles, while Koebryn Mlynarik added 13 points.
Nikolaevsk girls 32, Homer JV 26
The host Warriors outscored the Mariners 12-7 in the final quarter to wrap up the victory.
Kilina Klaich paced Nikolaevsk with 12 points, while Serafima Kalugin chipped in eight.
Nikolaevsk boys 51, Homer JV 45, OT
Andre Tipikin had 28 points as the Warriors picked up a nonconference victory over the visiting Mariners.
The Warriors outscored the Mariners 9-3 in the extra period. Blake Klaich added 13 points for Nikolaevsk.
Ninilchik girls 44, Bristol Bay 31
The Ninilchiks girls outscored Bristol Bay 24-14 in the second half to take home the victory in tournament play in Seldovia.
Esther Ehlers had 21 points to lead the Wolverines to the victory. Micaela Emory paced Bristol Bay with eight points.

Seldovia Tournament

In Thursday play in Seldovia, the Bristol Bay boys notched a 52-36 victory over Seldovia, while the Ninilchik boys beat Seldovia 72-43, with Billy Riley scoring 34 points.
