Weekend prep hoops roundup: Nikolaevsk, Tipikin overwhelm Nanwalek

Nikolaevsk’s Andre Tipikin celebrated senior night by scoring 52 points to lead the Warriors to a 79-48 win over visiting Nanwalek on Friday in Peninsula Conference action.
Tipikin had 46 points in the first half, and also made six 3-pointers in the game. Blake Klaich added 13 points for the Warriors.
For Nanwalek, Antone Ukatish had 16 points, while Jace Evans had 14 and John Romanoff added 13.
Ninilchik boys 49, Seldovia 23
The host Wolverines notched a Peninsula Conference victory over the Sea Otters on Friday.
Jack Wheeler pumped in 21 points for the Wolverines, while Jake Cooper had 12. The Wolverines also were joined by several players from the girls team. The girls team is done for the season because it does not have enough eligible players.
Sarah O’Leary had eight points to lead the Sea Otters, who also play with girls players.
Ninilchik boys 74, Nanwalek 49
The Wolverines notched a Peninsula Conference victory over visting Nanwalek on Saturday.
Ryan Bear had 19 points to lead the Wolverines, while Jack Wheeler had 16 and Jayke Cooper added 15.
For Nanwalek, John Romanoff had 23 points.
CIA boys 61, Seldovia 38
The host Eagles finished their Peninsula Conference slate with an 11-3 record as they get set to host the conference tourney Wednesday through Saturday.
David Reischach had 27 points to lead CIA, while Zac Taplin added nine.
Seward girls 55, Grace 23
The host Seahawks closed their regular season with a Southcentral Conference rout.
Meg Berry paced Seward with 21 points, while Tessa Adelmann added 12.
Seward boys 54, Grace 46
The host Seahawks outscored the Grizzlies 30-17 in the second half to close the regular season with a Southcentral Conference win.
Jalen Terry had 14 points for Seward, while Matthew Moore had 13 and Jeff Buchanan added 11. For Grace, Hans Karlberg had 21 points, while Luke Offord and Nic Bouman each pitched in 10.
Homer boys 48, Skyview 41
The Mariners broke a tie game at halftime with an 11-4 run in the third quarter to beat Skyview at Homer.
Dyllan Day scored 18 points to lead Homer, while DJ Diaz had 16 points for Skyview.
Skyview holds a Northern Lights Conference record 0-10 heading into the regional tournament next week, as Homer stands at 4-6 in the conference.
Skyview girls 45, Homer 31
Skyview managed to put an end to their winless season in Northern Lights Conference play Saturday at Homer.
Stefany Malatesta recorded 24 points to lead Skyview, while Elissa Tutt had 13 points to pace Homer.
Skyview ends their regular season with a conference record 1-9, while Homer also ended with a 1-9 conference record.
