Kenai Middle School wrestlers take 8th in Tanana

The Kenai Middle School wrestling team took eighth place at the 37th annual Tenana Invitational Wrestling Tournament in Fairbanks from March 2 to 3.

The tournament includes middle schools from across the state.

Paul Steffensen won the championship for KMS at 98 pounds, while Daniel Hess took second at 174. Also placing for KMS were Keyshawn McEnerney taking fifth at 110, Corbin Streiff taking sixth at 160 and Andrew Wellborn taking eighth at 132. Also for KMS, Jehiah Wilshusen lost in consolation round three at 126 pounds, and Kelcei Zoda lost in consolation round three at 84 pounds.
