Soldotna's Gaines, Homer's Wiest complete Boston Marathon

Soldotna’s Heather Gaines and Homer’s Randy Wiest competed in the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Gaines, 33, finished the race in 3 hours, 28 minutes, 45 seconds. She was 2,892nd overall, 364nd amongst women and 301st in her age division.

Wiest, 60, finished at 3:30:16. He was 11th in his age division, 3,101st overall and 2,688th amongst men.
