What a beautiful week at the Kenai Golf Course! Sunny days with a little wind has kept the watering crew very busy and the course full of golfers.
We just completed the Donnie Morgan Club Championship. It is appropriate that this event is named after Donnie Morgan. For many years he dedicated his life and talent to the Kenai Golf Course. He worked tirelessly to improve the course each and every day. He had a vision for the future and he would often talk about that vision. It is time for us to stop and think about all of his accomplishments. It is time to reflect on his dedication to the game of golf. It is time to think about his great smile and cheerful attitude that made golfing at the Kenai Golf Course a pleasure. It is time to remember seeing him on the tractor cutting the fairways with the gang mower. He took pride in making that perfect cut. He took pleasure in seeing the course after a fresh cut. I will always remember those things and so much more. I will continue to strive to live up to his high standards. The club championship is a great event celebrating the life of a great individual.
