Soldotna volleyball sweeps Homer

The host Soldotna volleyball team swept Homer 25-19, 25-13 and 25-12 on Tuesday in nonconference action.

The Stars will take a 3-0 overall record and 2-0 Northern Lights Conference record into a 6 p.m. match with Wasilla on Thursday at SoHi.

Natalie Kress had 17 digs in the match, while Kaycee Munn had eight. Katelynn Kerkvliet led the way with 15 blocks — five stuff — while Kaillee Skjold had six blocks — two stuff. Skjold had nine kills while Munn had six kills and Kerkvliet had five kills.

Munn added four service aces, while Heidi Westerman had 17 assists and Julie Litchfield had 14 assists.
