Friday at the SoHi Tip-Off

In the semifinals of the Powerade Al Howard Tip-Off Tournament on Friday at Soldotna High School, East defeated Bethel and Kodiak held off a Soldotna comeback.

 

East and Kodiak will meet in the championship today at 4:15 p.m., while SoHi and Bethel play for third at 2:30 p.m.

Kenai Central 67, Homer JV 8

The Kardinals cruised into the fifth-place game today at 12:45 p.m., while Homer goes to the seventh-place game at 11 a.m.

Shane Spalding had 14 points for the Kards, while Trevor Shirnberg had 10.

Mt. Edgecumbe boys 80, Nikiski 41

The Braves moved to the fifth-place game, and sent the Bulldogs to the seventh-place game.

John Peterson had 25 points for the Braves, while Leo Ford added 11. For Nikiski, Seth Carstens pumped in 16 points.
