Seward cagers sweep Skyview

The Seward basketball teams swept Southcentral Conference opponent Skyview on Wednesday in Seward.

 

The Seward boys held off the Panthers 57-40, while earlier in the night, the Lady Seahawks defeated Skyview 36-21.

In the boys game, Seward actually trailed 27-26 at halftime, but relied on a surge in the second half to win the game. Outscoring Skyview 13-3 in the third quarter and 18-10 in the fourth kept the Panthers at bay for Seward.

Michael Wolfe led Seward with 15 points and teammate Ronnie Jackson sunk three 3-pointers to add 12.

Skyview’s DJ Collier led all scorers with 16 points.

Tessa Adelmann led Seward to the win in the girs game, getting 10 points.

Sam Reynolds led Skyview with eight points.

With a 24-11 lead at halftime and 32-14 after three quarters, the Hawks only had to hold off Skyview to grab the win.
