Weather scrubs sporting events

The late spring continued to mess with prep sporting events this weekend.

On Friday, Wasilla was supposed to play baseball at Kenai, but that did not happen due to field conditions and weather. Ditto for a Saturday doubleheader in which Kenai was supposed to host Kodiak. Wasilla and Kodiak also had no luck getting in scheduled games in Homer this weekend.

Snowfall in the Valley on Saturday also knocked out a scheduled soccer meeting between Nikiski and Wasilla.

The Houston softball team also did not play Soldotna on Friday and Skyview on Saturday, due to field conditions at the Soldotna Little League fields. Houston will come down Tuesday to play Soldotna at 4 p.m. and Skyview at 6 p.m. at the Soldotna Little League fields.
