Homer baseball tops SoHi

Homer cruised to a 10-3 win over Soldotna on Wednesday in Homer.

Mariners pitcher Zach Haning allowed three runs in the first inning, but that was all he would let slip through.

Homer went on to score four runs and take the lead in the bottom of the first inning, off of hits from Tommy Bowe, Willy Deaver and JJ Sonnen.

Soldotna’s top hitter, Josh Darrow, went 2-for-4.

Homer continued to stretch its lead later in the game, and now holds a 3-2 Northern Lights Conference record. Soldotna’s record is 2-6.
