Kenai baseball tops Homer

The visiting Kenai Central baseball team topped Homer 12-10 on Thursday in Homer.

The Kards led 8-6 heading into the bottom of the sixth, but Homer scored a pair of runs to tie the game. In the top of the seventh, Kenai scored four times. Homer had two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but was not able to complete the comeback.

Tay Harling pitched the first 5 2-3 for the Kards. Miles Jones finished up for his fourth win of the year.

Dallas Pierren led Kenai on offense by going 2 for 5 with two RBIs.
