Top finishers posted in Family Fun Run in Nikiski

A Family Fun Run was held Saturday in Nikiski as part of Family Fun in the Midnight Sun.

Michael Stangel, with a time of 19 minutes, 27 seconds, won the three-mile race for the men, while Bethany Carstens, at 22:58, won for the women. Carl Kincaid was second in the men’s race at 22:10, while Leif Lofquist was third at 23:26. For the women, Jaycie Calvert was second at 23:38, while Brook Satathite was third at 23:41.

Tyler Smith won the five-mile race at 34:04 for the men, while Ashley Anderson’s 39:11 topped the women. In the men’s race, David Martin was second at 38:57, and Ben Carstens was third at 44:17.

For the women, Olivia Pfiefer was second at 41:56, and Freya Chay was third at 41:56.
