Wood Bat tourney ready for action

Bill Miller tourney set to start today

The Bill Miller Big Fish Wood Bat Tournament, part of the Alaska Airlines Tournament Tour, will start with six games in Kenai today.

The play today will feature two pools — Pool A with Kenai Post 20, Woodinville (Wash.) Post 127 and West Post 1; and Pool B with Napoleon (Ohio) Post 300, Wasilla Post 35 and Texarkana.

The schedule is as follows: Texarkana vs. Ohio, 10 a.m. at Seymour Park; West vs. Washington, noon at Kenai City Field; Ohio vs. Wasilla, 1 p.m. at Seymour Park; Kenai vs. West, 4 p.m. at Seymour Park; Texarkana vs. Wasilla, 6 p.m. at Kenai City Field; and Kenai vs. Washington, 7 p.m. at Seymour Park.

Depending on today’s results, the schedule will be made up for Wednesday’s and Thursday’s games.
