Kenai track, turf to be re-dedicated

New Kenai turf, track to be re-dedicated

The new track and turf field at Kenai Central High School will be re-dedicated the Ed Hollier Football Field on Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. by KCHS and the city of Kenai.

Residents of the central Kenai Peninsula and KCHS alumni are invited to hear Dale Sandahl give a history of the field. A host of dignitaries also will be recognized.

Following the ceremony, Kenai Central will play Nikiski in football. At halftime, the first track competition will be held — an invitational mile race.
