What a beautiful stretch of weather we are having! The Kenai Golf Course is in excellent playing condition. The greens are excellent, the fairways and tee boxes are in great shape.

The new brush hog continues to make a big difference in our fairways. We have finished the front side and are now continuing work on the back nine. Two more weeks and it will be finished.

The wildlife on the course is abundant. Moose, caribou and sandhill cranes are sighted frequently. I would like to thank everyone for the many compliments we have received on the condition of our course.

At the 2016 Junior Golf Championship at Birch Ridge Golf Course, two Kenai Golf Course junior golfers did exceedingly well. In the girls 8- and 9-year-old division, a six-hole competition, first place went to our own Evy Cooper, who shot an outstanding score of 42. Tate Cooper, also a Kenai golfer, finished third, shooting a score of 50. Congratulations Evy and Tate! Keep up the practice and the great golf.
