Bomar misses Boeing Classic cut

Anchorage Golf Course pro Billy Bomar missed out on qualifying for the Champions Tour Boeing Classic at a qualifying event Tuesday.

Bomar made it through the pre-qualifying event at Druids Glen Golf Course in Covington, Wash., Thursday. He then flew back up to Alaska and won the Kenai Peninsula Open at Birch Ridge Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday.

Bomar’s string of sterling play ran out Tuesday with a 7-over-par 79 at the 7,146-yard layout.
