Scalzo, Fox win Salmon Cycle Series

Eighteen riders managed to tolerate tough weather and a tough course Thrusday at Salmon Cycle Series #7 at Tsalteshi Trails behind Skyview High School.

 

Thursday will be the eighth race and final race in the series. The race starts at 6 p.m. and is $5, but free for members of the Tsalteshi Trails Association and Kenai Peninsula Cycle and Ski Club.

The series then culminates in Psychocross, a 10-mile race at Tsalteshi on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Mark Scalzo won Thursday’s race in 36:40, while Sadie Fox was the top woman at 48:44.
