Seldovia basketball squads drop games in Anchorage

The Seldovia girls and boys basketball games dropped nonconference games in Anchorage this weekend.

Friday, Seldovia traveled to play the West JV. The Sea Otters girls lost 35-20, getting nine points from Marina Chissus. The Sea Otters boys lost 58-43, trailing by eight at the half before getting outscored 23-7 in the third. Aidan Philpot had 19 points, while Seth O’Leary added 14.

Saturday, the Sea Otters faced Grace Christian. The girls fell 49-12.

The boys lost to Grace 69-63. Seldovia led 18-14 after one quarter, but Grace led by one at the half. The game was tied after three quarters. Philpot had 23, while Calem Collier had 17.
