Gebhardt leads area mushers at Kusko 300

Kasilof musher Paul Gebhardt led area mushers at the Kusko 300 by taking fourth place Sunday.

Rohn Buser won the race by finishing at 9:18 a.m. Sunday, while nine-time Kusko champion Jeff King was right behind at 9:25 a.m.

Cim Smyth took third by finishing at 10:55 a.m., while Gebhardt finished fourth at 11 a.m.

Kasilof’s Kristy Berington came in at 8 p.m. to nab 17th.
