First day results from Kenai Open

Chris Morin, coming off a win in the Donald R. Morgan club championship at Kenai Golf Course last weekend, kept on rolling by taking the lead Saturday after the first day of the two-day Kenai Open at Kenai Golf Course.

Morin had a 7-over-par 79 to take the lead, while Chris Murray is right behind at 80. Aaron Cooper and Gordon Griffin are at 82. Cooper posted the lowest net score, with a 70.

Play continues today at Kenai Golf Course.
