Former Post 20 Twins pitcher Mitch Daugherty (Sterling) from Southwest Oregon College has agreed to return for his second season with the Oilers. Other additions to the O’s roster include catcher Brent Diaz (Miami) from Louisiana Tech and Loyola Marymount’s duo of freshman outfielder Billy Wilson (Tolleson, Arizona) and sophomore infielder Ted Boeke (La Crescenta, California).

As the season is rapidly approaching, the Oilers are still in need of a few more area host families to provide player housing. The Oilers also are interested in suitable housing for the two-month summer baseball season for the team’s coaching staff. This could be a house-sitting situation, a lodge, a house or an apartment rental. If you would like information on housing players or providing coaches housing, please contact Diana Tice at 283-7133, ext. 0. Additional Oilers baseball information can be found at www.oilersbaseball.com.

Oilers Corner is provided by Mike Baxter, the baseball operations manager for the Alaska Baseball League team.
