Don’t let the weather discourage you from coming out to the golf course. The greens are looking fabulous, and fairways are in incredible shape. Larry Hamilton, Tom Walsh and Clayton have been putting in many hours getting the course in perfect playing condition.

Ladies Night

Last Wednesday night we had an incredible 13 women. The triple threat of Susan Ellis, Sissy Bird and Kelsey Slough could not be stopped. They were on fire the entire night. Sissy Bird crushed her ball on No. 2 winning her longest drive. Kelsey Slough hit a precise 17-foot putt, and drained it, winning her long putt. To top it all off that triple threat team came in first place with an even par. Ladies night is every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. rain or shine. It is blind-draw, best-ball format and we encourage new golfers to join us.

Men’s Night

Even though it was pouring down rain, an incredible 32 men came out to play during Men’s Night. The rain did not want to stop for them, but they had great attitudes through the entire nine holes of rainy golf.

Danny Hughes was the talk of the night. He could not be stopped. Not only did he win long drive on No. 3, pure birdie on No. 9 and closest to on No. 6, he led his team to first place.

Aaron Blackburn, Paul Zimmerman, Matt Federle and Danny Hughes came in with 3-under, winning them first place. Mike Fastabend was able to walk away with a victory on hole No. 8, as he was able to get closest to the pin with his great tee shot. Men’s Night is every Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. We love having new men, even if you are a member of another course. Remember more men equals more money to win.

Junior Golf Lessons

Junior golf lessons are continuing today at 4 p.m. This is FREE for children and a great opportunity to learn a great sport. Parents, how many business deals are made on a golf course? Having this skill in your children’s pockets can be a great asset to your young entrepreneurs’ future careers. The lessons are two hours long, you can drop off and pick up, play a round of golf and take advantage of “buy a round, bring a friend” and get a round free Thursday, or watch. Golf pro Tom Walsh will be holding the lessons with help from Kelsey.

Fun Fact Thursday

Fifty-four percent of business professionals see golf as the “sport of business,” six times more than the second choice of motor sports, and 48 percent of business executives see the golf course as an ideal business environment.
