I would like to thank Rich Edwards for putting together an outstanding Red, White, and Blue Tournament for the Fourth of July! Doug Jung, thanks for providing morning snacks. I need to set the stage…

Going in to the last hole which was No. 16 in this shotgun start format, the team of Bob and Caleb Sizemore was tied with the Doug Haralson and Ken Liedes team at eleven under par. Ken and Doug hit great shots just off to the right side of the green. Bob Sizemore was 65 yards out and chipped it in for an EAGLE! That meant that Ken and Doug would have to follow with an eagle of their own in order to maintain the tie. They settled for a birdie. Bob and Caleb Sizemore won with a thirteen under par!!! Doug Haralson and Ken Liedes finished second with a score of minus-12. Congratulations to all.

The teams of Craig Jung and Jessie Wade, Greg Harrington and Dusty Steinbeck, and Rich Edwards and Tommy Carver tied for third place with scores of minus-9. The winner for third place was decided by a tee shot on hole No. 10, which is a par-3. Harrington/Steinbeck won the play off and finished third, and Rich Edwards and Tommy Carver won fourth place. Other notable scores: Mark and Lara Griffin minus-8, Doug Jung and Gordon Griffin also minus-8. The teams of Jim Holliday and Eddie Sibilboro, along with Max and James Dye, both shot minus-7. Brian Wodarek and Skip Dove shot a minus-5.

Closest to the Pin on hole No. 5 was won by Tommy Carver with a great shot of 7 feet, 4 1-2 inches, barely beating out Karl Liedes who put a shot into the pin at 8 feet, 7 inches. Greg Harrington won Closest ot the Pin on hole No. 9 at 22 feet, 11 inches, beating out Doug Jung at 27 feet, 10 inches. Hole No. 10 was won by Eddie Sibilboro with a shot of 10 feet, 2 inches, beating out Doug Haralson at 13 feet, 1 inch. Hole No. 14 was won by Mark McComsey with an outstanding shot of 3 feet, 11 inches, winning over Jackie Colosso’s 7 feet, 4 inches. Closest to the Pin on the 2nd shot on hole No. 18 was won by Jackie Colosso with another great shot of 8 feet, 2 inches. Great shooting, Jackie!
