Soldotna swimming and diving sweeps Kenai Tri Meet

The Soldotna swimming and diving teams swept the Kenai Tri Meet on Friday at Kenai Central High School.

On the girls side, Soldotna scored 122 points while Kenai had 44 and Seward had 11. On the boys side, Soldotna won with 103 points, while Kenai had 50 and Seward scored 3.

On the girls side, the Stars won all but one event. Portia Padilla and Sydney Juliussen led the way, with Padilla taking the 100-yard butterfly and 200 individual medley, and Juliussen nabbing the 500 and 50 freestyles.

On the boys side, the Stars won all but three events, with Cody Watkins and Jacob Hall taking two events apiece. Watkins won the 100 freestyle and 200 IM, while Hall won the 200 and 500 freestyles.
