Larry Hamilton has been doing a wonderful job on the course, the greens and fairways are in spectacular condition. Bird Homestead is a very unique golf course 12 miles out Funny River Road. The drive isn’t as long as you may think, and the scenery is beautiful. If you don’t have your own set of golf clubs, it’s okay, there are some to rent. Stop by Bird Homestead for a fun round of golf, they are open seven days a week.

Men’s Night

Even though the weather didn’t look promising, there were 30 men Tuesday night. JE Wells was on fire, not only winning long drive on No. 9, but also closest-to on No. 8. Chris Rich had a fabulous tee shot on No. 6, winning closest-to. Pure Birdie was split on No. 5 as Roy Bird and Dave Kerkvliet both got a pure birdie. First place with an incredible minus-6 was the threesome of Steve Ellis, Travis Robertson and Dwight Kramer. Right behind them with a minus-4 was the team of Mike Fastabend, Andrew Manton, Trevor Baldwin and Chris Rich. Men’s night is every Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. If you want a fun night without the ladies and kids, come out on Tuesday for a fun round of golf. It is best blind draw, scramble starting at 6:30 p.m.

Ladies Night

We had a fun group of women out for last ladies night. Connie K. hit a very precise putt on No. 5, winning longest putt. Alice was on fire not only winning long drive on No. 5, but also pure birdie. The dynamic duo of Kelsey Slough and Connie Orth was the winning team of the evening, winning first place. Ladies night is every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. It is a nine-hole blind draw scramble, no skill is necessary and remember, it is all about having fun without any men or kids for the evening.
