Isaev, Mirchell take titles at Superhero 5K

Leonid Isaev and Michelle Mirchell won the Superhero 5-kilometer Run/Walk on Saturday in Kenai.

Isaev led men across the line at 20 minutes, 52 seconds, while Mirchell was the first woman and second overall at 21:40.

The run, which had 71 participants, is sponsored by the Kenaitze Indian Tribe. It raises funds for Kenai Peninsula Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA volunteers speak for abused and neglected children in both tribal and state courts.
