Ninilchik boys outscore CIA by 70

The Ninilchik boys basketball season rolled on Tuesday night with a dominating victory. The Wolverines racked up their 10th straight win over Class 1A competition with a 70-point blowout over Peninsula Conference rival Cook Inlet Academy, winning 97-27.

All seven scoring players for Ninilchik (8-0 conference, 12-8 overall) finished with double figures, led by Austin White and Dalton Geppert with 18 points apiece. Noah Leaf led CIA with 14 points.

While the Eagles (4-5 conference, 7-9 overall) failed to reach 10 points in any quarter, the Wolverines soared in each period of play. Ninilchik scored 33 second-quarter points to reach a lead of 59-14 at halftime.
