Soldotna High School's Sadie Fox won the Under-16 and over, five-kilometer classic race on Sunday in Besh Cup 4 action in Homer. Fox finished in 19 minutes, 38 seconds to take the title. Abby Amick was second at 19:48.

The Kenai Central boys basketball team finished seventh at the Dean Cummings Sr. Memorial Basketball Tournament at Delta Junction High School on Saturday. The Kardinals topped Eielson 65-21 in the seventh-place game.
