The Peninsula Oilers have been eliminated from the Alaska Baseball League pennant chase heading into a season-ending homestand against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots.
That homestand starts tonight at 6 p.m. at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.

The Kenai Golf Course has enjoyed some great playing conditions during the past three weeks, great weather with plenty of sunshine each and every day. Along with the sunshine comes the need for more water on the course.
The Peninsula Oilers continued a late-season surge by topping the host Chugiak Chinooks 9-1 on Monday in Alaska Baseball League play.
The Oilers finished up their season series with the Chinooks at 6-1, and now have won six of their last eight.
The American Legion Twins forfeited four games Sunday due to the use of an ineligible player, dropping the Twins from fourth in the final league standings to tied for sixth.
Those standings will be used to seed the Legion AA State Tournament.
