Homer lost to Southcentral conference rival Skyview at home three games to none Tuesday night, with scores of 25-12, 25-10 and 25-16. Skyview found an abundance of offense from junior Sam Reynolds, who had 20 points and two blocks.

The Soldotna volleyball team defeated Kenai Central 25-11, 25-11 and 25-15 on Tuesday in Northern Lights Conference action at Soldotna. The Stars improve to 6-1 overall and 5-1 in the league, while the Kards stay winless in league play.

The Homer football team defeated Kodiak 20-0 on Monday in Northern Lights Conference play in Kodiak. The win moves the Mariners to 3-1 in the Northern Lights Conference and into sole possession of second place.

The Homer-Kodiak football game has been postponed again. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, but Homer could not fly to Kodiak due to foggy conditions. The game was then supposed to happen Sunday, but Homer could not fly in Saturday night. Homer is now scheduled to arrive Monday for a 5:30 p.m. contest.

The Kenai Central Kardinals battered their way to a 14-8 win over conference rival Skyview on Saturday afternoon at Ed Hollier Field in Kenai, but the mood was less than joyous after the game, even for the victors.
