Two things were apparent in the Peninsula Oilers' 9-1 Alaska Baseball League victory over the Anchorage Glacier Pilots at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage on Monday. 1) The Oilers are glad to be out of Fairbanks, and on the way home.

The Peninsula Oilers were swept out of Fairbanks, falling 5-4 to the Alaska Goldpanners on Sunday at Growden Memorial Park. The Goldpanners completed the three-game sweep with a four-run rally that took place without the ball leaving the infield.

The Peninsula Oilers dropped games to the Alaska Goldpanners of Fairbanks on Friday and Saturday night at Growden Memorial Park in Fairbanks. The Oilers lost 6-0 on Friday and 4-2 on Saturday in Alaska Baseball League action.
