The Soldotna baseball team run-ruled Kenai Central in five innings Tuesday at the Soldotna Little League fields, beating the Kardinals 10-0.
It offered the Stars a bit of relief after a 3-2 loss to Kenai in walk-off fashion two weeks ago.
The Moose River Hustle was held Saturday in Sterling. The run raises money for the Meal and Wheels program at the Sterling Senior Center.

The Skyview softball team was swept by host Kodiak on Friday and Saturday in Northern Lights Conference play. With a 17-4 loss Saturday and an 11-1 loss Friday, Skyview drops to 1-2 in the conference and 2-5 overall.

The Kenai Central baseball team was swept by host Kodiak in Northern Lights Conference play this weekend. The Kards lost 10-5 on Friday and 11-1 on Saturday. On Saturday, Kodiak grabbed a 6-0 lead after two innings and cruised to a five-inning victory.
With the pleasant weather conditions on display at Ed Hollier Field Saturday in Kenai, runners might have expected to see sizzling times at the Kenai Peninsula Borough track and field meet, but perhaps the sun was playing tricks.
