The Kenai Central wrestling team took 13th place at the Alaska State 4A Dual Championships at South on Saturday. The Kards started the tournament by losing 77-6 to Wasilla, then they lost 65-18 to Lathrop.

The Kenai Central basketball teams opened the season with a sweep from the East Thunderbirds on Friday night at Kenai. The Kenai girls were edged 41-36 earlier in the evening in an endowment game, and were followed by a 72-34 loss by the Kardinal boys team.
