Peninsula Midnight Sun Volleyball Club is looking for coaches to work with 14 to 18-year-old female volleyball players. Practices are held two nights per week and tournaments take place in Anchorage once per month from December through the end of March.

The visiting Stars earned a hard-fought non-conference victory over the Mariners on Tuesday in Homer, winning with game scores of 25-27, 25-22, 19-25, 25-23 and finishing off with a 15-9 game.
Ruby Lindquist of Seward Middle School and David Michael of Soldotna Middle School won titles Friday at the Kenai Peninsula Borough Middle School Cross-Country Championships in Nikiski.
Lindquist covered 1.5 miles in 12 minutes, 32 seconds.
The Kenai River Brown Bears finished off a 5-1 trip to the Lower 48 with a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Magicians on Sunday in Richfield, Minn.
"It was good getting out on the road," Brown Bears coach Geoff Beauparlant said.
The Lathrop Malamutes used a 28-point second quarter to blow out the Homer Mariners 49-0 in Homer on Saturday. The loss didn't affect Homer's Northern Lights Conference record (1-3), but it dropped the Mariners to a 1-5 overall mark.
Soldotna and Skyview high schools played their final game against one another at Justin Maile Field in Soldotna on Saturday afternoon, the Stars getting the better of the Panthers in a 54-0 blowout that extended their winning streak to 16 games.
